Land is a Community to which We Belong.

We abuse land because we see it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.

— Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac

It was a honor to write for the Slow Photography Movement’s blog in October. Its a wonderful resource for anyone interested in outdoor photography. Although its been some time since my last blog post here, I find myself constantly writing in other arenas. I look forward to more routine additions here, but for now the list of topics has grown long. I am so looking forward to putting my thoughts down and sharing them with you. Thank you to Ernesto Ruiz for this opportunity to write this and for his thoughtful edits.

For now, please take a look at this latest piece at the Slow Photography Movement’s website. I hope you enjoy it. If you get a chance please, too, also check out some of the other excellent pieces from other photographers.
